Abstract

Increased traffic volume had made it necessary to rise transport capacities by construction of full-height bridge. Therefore, the scope of this paper is the analysis of full-height embankment behind abutment on geosynthetic reinforced pile supported (GRPS), with a commercially available finite element software. The analyses of fourteen cases of GRPS system supported under embankment and two untreated foundations are presented in this paper. The factors considered include the construction time, pile center to center spacing, supported region and length of piles DM (Deep-Mixing).
